Regular Favourites The Belgrave House band reimagine classic albums with energetic and creative live interpretations.

They’ve previously visited us with their unique interpretations of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” and classic Bowie album “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars”.

Now they return with their unique take on the Amy Winehouse classic second album, which was produced by Mark Ronson and includes much-loved hits such as “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good

Their lineup will be supplemented by a full horn section, backing vocalists and a rhythm section from Leeds’ burgeoning Jazz scene, chosen to honour Amy’s live band circa 2007.

And after performing on the “Frank” tour in 2019, London-based vocalist, Lydia Kotsirea will grace the stage to bring us her dynamic, delectable and powerful pipes.

While we can’t be sure how well the newly launched biopic “Back To Black”, will portray one of the most astounding talents of recent musical history, you can be sure that The Belgrave House Band will deliver a high fidelity live rendering of this fantastic album with love, care, respect and a bouncing
energy.

Maggie Wakeling

The band will be supported by local musician Maggie Wakeling, who is an incredibly talented, up and coming singer/songwriter based in York.

Influenced by artists such as Birdy, Sleeping at Last and Freya Ridings, there is a sincerity and authenticity to her songwriting which can be characterised as melancholic pop, with emotive and dynamic vocals at the forefront of her music. She released her first two singles at the ages of 12 and 13 and since then has been working the music scene. In 2023, her original song ‘Are You Okay?’ made it to the final 30 of the Song Academy’s ‘Young Songwriter’ competition.

When she isn’t writing songs, Maggie regularly performs at festivals, open mics, and music events in and around Yorkshire.
