Clúrachán – Irish Tales

Local folk band Clúrachán bring to life the colourful characters of the Coombe Market, Dublin at the turn of the century through music and song.
Mudd the Fish; Dick Darby, Cobbler; Humpy Gussy, ex-con and mender of pots and pans; roguish Finton Fiddle, local ne’r do well and Iris Dougherty, Flower Seller, all have a tale to tell.
Learn about the heart-breaking sorrows of the turbulent years of famine and emigration on infamous coffin ships, but celebrate the indomitable spirit of the Irish people as our evening ends in a bar – where else! – with some great songs and raucous craic!
Story narration by the Coombe’s very own Philomena O’Grady!
